Tamarindo Wildlife Refuge protects a large estuary, mangrove forest and tropical dry forest in an area covering almost 400 hectares.
The boat trip into the estuary offers an opportunity to observe rare and abundant wildlife – including dozens of bird species and two species of monkeys, crocodiles, iguanas.
What to bring: Long pants, hiking shoes, camera, binocular, during the rain season bring raincoat.
