Or, maybe you would prefer to just lie down on the bubbling beach, or to swim and play under the waterfalls of the pool, from the total privacy of this tropical estate.

Located at the end of the road on a hilltop over the Pacific, and in a particularly private part of Manuel Antonio, Casa Maravilla offers seclusion at it’s best, while being ideally located halfway between the adjoining towns of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The Manuel Antonio National Park and it’s multiple white sand beaches rimmed with pristine rainforest, are the treasured jewel of Costa Rica’s park system and are just 10 minutes away. While, Quepos, with it’s wide variety of shopping, restaurants, bars, Casino, markets, and sport-fishing fleet is less than 5 minutes in the other direction, and you can easily walk there from the house.

Casa Maravilla is loaded with lush gardens and tropical rainforests, which border an important and well-traveled biological corridor through the area, so guests at Casa Maravilla can expect to see an abundance of wildlife on a daily basis. Three types of friendly monkeys visit the property regularly, as well as the fascinating and slow moving tree sloths (we have had up to 5 at a time), a large variety of birds, and a plethora of other sometimes hard to describe animals (see our photo album), so bring your camera and you’ll be sure to enjoy the best of the jungle and it’s amazing inhabitants from the terraces and gardens of this amazing luxury villa.

The home itself is most accurately described as a work of art and is considered among the finest of the custom homes in the Manuel Antonio area. Fine craftsmanship and loving attention to details are evident throughout the house, which makes it a pleasure to experience. The large swimming pool with its expansive decks was designed for outdoor relaxing and entertaining, and is perfect for hosting groups or parties. Casa Maravilla is also specially designed for the varying weather of the tropics; to be suitable and comfortable for enjoying every day, season, or mood. The 30-foot high hardwood ceilings provide excellent ventilation, and sliding glass doors all the way around, allow you to either open the home completely to the fresh pacific breezes by day and the sounds of the jungle at night, or to close it up and enjoy the experience in fully air conditioned comfort.

You will enjoy every unique room of this tastefully decorated home, each having a private bathroom, 4 having private terraces, and three have their own kitchenettes. Every room is different and some are truly unique, like the 20-foot almond-wood catwalk, suspended through the center of the home, which leads to an all hardwood master suite, of which the entire front wall is a plate glass window facing the Pacific.
Bedroom Descriptions

The master suite offers a plush king size bed, A/C, and sunset ocean views right from either your bed, or from your own private balcony. This jumbo suite has a private entrance, large double-headed shower in the master bathroom, a stone waterfall feature, and your own custom hardwood bar (with kitchenette and coffee maker) to make this room really special. Also, has great jungle views with tons of wildlife from the private terrace.

The top-level master suite number two has sunset ocean views through floor to ceiling glass and a plush king size bed. This large room is accessed by a uniquely suspended all-wood catwalk, and with it’s 14 foot high hardwood ceilings and polished almond wood floors, you feel as through you are staying in a super luxury tree house, with A/C, a private ocean view balcony, and a spacious bath.

The forth bedroom is a private apartment, also with a separate entrance. There are two beds- a queen and a full size, A/C, wood ceilings, views of the tropical gardens through large sliding doors, 4-person hardwood table and chairs, private bath, large indoor and outdoor showers, mini fridge, kitchenette, coffee maker.

The fifth bedroom is actually more than a room – it’s a completely private jungle cottage, located 100 feet from the main house and surrounded by tropical gardens to the front and lush jungle to the back. There are lots of windows for viewing wildlife, and the home is located smack in the middle of a wildlife corridor, so it is common to see two types of monkeys as well as other wildlife passing over the cottage on a daily basis. There are 3 beds- 2 full size (doubles) and a single bunk-bed, A/C, hardwood ceiling , a kitchenette with full size fridge and coffeemaker, private bath, and an elevated patio.

So relax in the swimming pool, looking out over the infinity edge, while listening to rushing water from the natural stone water falls, as the sounds of the jungle consume you. The full time staff includes maid service 6 days a week, chef services including preparation of one gourmet meal per day by professional Italian chef Patricia, roundtrip transportation from San Jose in a private duel air conditioned minivan, and full time concierge service to assist you with all your needs.

The home is supplied with all the amenities you would enjoy at home, including; two phone lines, a computer with internet connection, Direct TV, fine sheets and towels, full kitchenware, a stereo with CD player, beach toys, and much more. Also included is a special guide to all of the area’s best tours as well as information and directions to the finest (or most interesting) restaurants, places, and beaches.

The smallest of special requests are accommodated to make your vacation special, or with the planning of weddings and events. With years of experience practically anything you need can be arranged. Reservation of your rental cars, and the top sport-fishing boats, at the time of your home reservations, are best reserved in advance due to limited last minute availability.
