Departure from Jaco to Puntarenas, approximately 1 hour driving.  Upon arrival in Puntarenas, you will board Calypso’s state of the art catamaran, the Manta Raya. 

As she makes her way to the Gulf of Nicoya her white clad crew pampers guests with fresh tropical fruits and drinks.

Approximately 1 hour and fifteen minutes south is the day’ palm-studded destination: Tortuga Island.

The tour includes transportation to and from Puntarenas, a sumptuous seafood buffet, and a cruise among more that 7 islands and time for snorkeling, kayaking, volleyball on the beach or just plain relaxing. 

What to bring: swimsuit, towel, sun lotion, hat, camera, shorts, and light jacket.

Offshore lies Caño Island, an ancient Indian burial ground.

Picnic on a white sand beach sheltered by coconut palms and snorkel among the coral reefs that surround this tropical paradise.

There will be time for a hike up to the burial grounds in the interior of the island.

The Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge and the Rio Frío, both biological humid areas, considered being one of the richest in biological diversity in Costa Rica. Here you can find a great variety of resident and migratory birds plus three different species of monkeys, also iguanas, sloth’s, turtles and Caymans. All “Nature Lovers” will have a 4-hour floating safari through Tropical Rain Forest and pastures.

What to bring: light clothing, comfortable shoes, camera, binoculars, sun cream and insect repellent.

This is the time to see the forest like you have never seen it before. From the top of these ancestral trees and by mixing yourself with the incredible life of the tropical forest your adventure will begin. 

There are 840 meters of cable in the forest from tree to tree where you will hang as a monkey with harness and safety equipment discovering the forest from a totally different point of view.  This is a 100% adrenaline experience worth to discover.

After the canopy we will take a ride to a typical city of Guanacaste, where you will prove a good Guanacaste-style lunch. Also you will have time to visit markets and souvenirs shops.

What to bring:  Long pants or shorts, camera, light jacket, binoculars, walking shoes.
